King’s Lynn, Norfolk — family-run since 2008

Norfolk catering
for weddings & events.

A note from the family

We’re a family-run Norfolk catering team based near King’s Lynn, working across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Lincolnshire. We cook modern, seasonal food built around Norfolk produce, and we look after every part of the day around it — from the first arrival drinks to the last plate cleared away. Weddings are at the heart of what we do, but we cater private parties and corporate events too.

Tracy, Ryan and Sophie, the family behind Rudd Catering

Meet Ryan, Sophie & Tracy

The family you plan with is the family who looks after your day.

Ryan is your main point of contact and leads the kitchen. Sophie runs front of house and keeps service flowing calmly, while Tracy brings her experience to desserts, venue styling and the finishing touches.

You’ll speak to the people who will actually be there. From your first enquiry to the last plate being cleared, plans stay with one experienced family team that has been looking after events since 2008.

The shape of a day

How a Rudd Catering day tends to unfold.

MorningFresh Norfolk produce arriving at a venue

On site early

We arrive well ahead of your guests. Kitchen set, produce in from local growers, bar stocked. Sophie walks the space with your planner or venue while Ryan gets the food underway.

The food was exceptional and the service was seemless. Our guests were just as complimentary of the food as we were and we are still receiving compliments about the wedding breakfast.

Drinks & canapés

Guests arrive to a warm welcome from Sophie and the front-of-house team. Drinks are ready, canapés circulate. If you’ve booked our mobile bar or cocktail service, it’s open and pouring.

Modern British, built around Norfolk produce

Wedding breakfasts are modern British and tailored to you - never a fixed package. Evening food is more relaxed: stone baked pizzas, fully loaded fries and nachos, fish and chip cones, hog roast rolls, traditional buffets and more.

Questions

The things couples and hosts ask us first.

How much does catering cost in Norfolk?
Every event is different, so your quote is built around your guest numbers, venue and menu. As a guide, weekday cold buffets start from around £12 a head and are usually for corporate lunches and celebrations of life. Hog roasts start from £36 a head and plated wedding menus from £59 a head. That way, you only pay for what your day actually needs.
What kind of events do you cater?
Weddings are at the heart of what we do, but we love catering all kinds of celebrations. Private parties, milestone birthdays, garden gatherings, funeral receptions, corporate launches, awards evenings, board dinners and hosted lunches are all very welcome.
Can we try the food before the day?
Absolutely. Once your date is booked, two-course wedding and celebration catering for 60 guests or more includes a complimentary tasting for two. We normally hold these in the winter before your event, so you can relax, try the dishes and tweak the menu with Ryan before anything is finalised. Menus are always designed with you, never picked from a fixed package.
Do you provide staff, equipment and a bar?
We do. Our own team cooks and serves the food, and we bring the kitchen, refrigeration and service equipment with us. We also run a fully staffed mobile bar, which is generally free of charge when booked alongside a catering package. If you would prefer to supply your own drinks, we can quote for the staffing, glassware and equipment needed to run the bar seamlessly.
How far ahead should we book?
For weddings, twelve to eighteen months ahead is typical, especially for summer Saturdays. Smaller parties and corporate events often come together with much less notice, so it is always worth getting in touch to check availability.
Are you food hygiene rated?
Yes - Rudd Catering holds a 5-star food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency and we are fully insured. Rudd Catering is a trading name of Rudd Events Ltd, based at South Wootton near King's Lynn.
